Date and Orange Cake
Topping
Cream margarine and sugar in medium bowl until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and ORANGE ZESTO. Mix well. Add flour, baking powder, pecans and dates. Mix well. Dissolve baking soda in warm water in small bowl. Add to batter. Mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 35 to 40 minutes until golden. Poke about 12 holes in cake with skewer. Topping: Beat sugar and orange juice in small bowl for 5 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Pour over hot cake. Cuts into 18 pieces.
